RNDM Bible knowledge

The recent CO visit and ramblings while talking with friends has got me thinking about how much (or how little) I know about the Bible.  Bible figures, events, locations, items, and etc... are all mixed and blurred to me.  I guess knowing the main theme is most important but if we don't know the backing of those themes (the facts) no matter what we say, it'd sound pretty lame.  So I decided to start writing a few Bible facts that I think most other people wouldn't know and may be it will start up a spark to get others to write stuff that other people wouldn't know and then there will be a whole list of cool Bible facts that people don't know!
Well.. here we go...

Gibeon

Gideon
1.  Gibeon vs. Gideon
Gibeon is the tribe that lied to Joshua acting as though they were from a distant land so that they would be shown mercy by Jehovah and His people.
Gideon is the judge who was instructed by God to reduce his already small army to fight against 135,000 men.  He performed that famous test of how the men drank water from the pond.  He led 300 men to war against 135,000 men (no this is not Sparta).
This isn't Sparta

2. Luke's letters
The two books that Luke wrote (Luke & Acts) were actually letters.  They were letters to a person named Theophilus.  The book Luke being a letter to the 관심자 Theophilus and Acts being a letter to the same Theophilus who was probably now a brother.  This shows that we have to follow up on our bros and sis even after they are baptized.

Job's blessings
3.  Bible's most beautiful women
Yes, they were Job's daughters.  They are the only offspring of Job that have their names in the Bible.
1st: Jemimah
2nd: Keziah
3rd: Keren-happuch
Yea... their names do not sound as pretty...

4.  Lot's daughters were married
This i just found out yesterday. Lot's daughters were actually married!!!
They had to abandon their husbands when escaping the destruction of Sodom And Gommorrah.

Thats all I have for now. I guess I will update again depending on the feedback and if I ever discover anything surprising...
Sigh.. I need to get out of work....... I want freedom.... FREEDOM!!!!

looking back and pedoing(not what you think it means)

I am constantly looking back to my college years lately.  I was going through old pictures and now it is making me miss those days.  One of the recent watchtower articles we studied warned us about looking to the past and longing for those times but, this cannot be helped!  I miss the days when I had so much free time.  I love how I had the option to waste my time!

Today is ultra slow.  Manager is out of the office and I only received 2 phone calls and a few emails.  I think the biggest thrill I get at work lately is silently farting and hoping no one walks into my office for the next 5 minutes.  I think there were a few times when they came in too soon.  I can always tell... because they hesitate to come closer to hand me a document... my office should have a number 9 on the door (get it?).

I wish I could make an awesome blog post but, I'm much to lazy to be creative... so I will just upload a few old pics that is making me miss my life 5 years ago.

I won't name names of who these two are..

well.. this pic kinda gives away who the two in the above pic were
this one really cracks me up

Joy?

Being constantly at a state of bliss or always smiling does not equal happiness. As we all (or at least 7million of us) know, God is the source of happiness. Without knowing Him we can never truly be happy. We tend to think that a person looks happy when they giggle or smile. When someone has "succeeded" in life, they seem happy. But we know how meaningless their lives are. Smiling... sure it brings out good hormones that actually might make you happy for a little bit but, its not fail proof or everlasting.
The scary part about all this is that God's people are happy because they serve a happy God. But why is it that I don't feel happy? I feel unhappy almost 90% of the time... but then again I think I'm thinking of my past too much. Back in my college years I really had everything under control. I had a part time job, went to school and kept my hope scholarship, and reg pioneered... when I think of myself back then... I actually did feel happy and content. Of course there was always room to be better but, I actually felt like I was trying hard to do by best.  (And yes.. I know... I should stop dwelling in the past)
I guess I just found the solution to my problem. I'm not trying hard enough... I guess its true. Having a full time job sucks a lot out of you. Even if the workload is not too much, just the fact that I have to sit here from 8-6 (maybe even longer) sucks hairy balls. Plus there is traffic that I have to fight through everyday. I'm sure I lost about 15 years of my life from the stress related with work. I really need a job that doesn't demand me to focus on it too much. It feels as though Koreans have their priorities all messed up (hence their escalated divorce rate). They always put work/money first and I hate it.
Anyway... I really need to stop being lazy about reading the Bible. I hear its a very good book..
Well.. I'm done dumping so I should just end it here. (Yes I wrote this via my droid razr maxx in the bathroom while taking a #2).
Bye!

Two posts on the same day!

Yes, I wil be posting garbage on this blog.  I am waiting for my manager to arrive from his business trip.  I just got a call from him today about picking him up from the airport.

I have absolutely no idea why I created this blog.  I happened to stroll into my sister's blog and saw the randomness and thought, "Wait a sec... I could make an even better blog with something worthy to read and look at!"  But now that I have one... I feel too lazy to make it pretty or make anything interesting.

So whatever, I will just keep on writing until it is time to leave for the airport.

I have bookstudy reading tomorrow.  I don't want to practice.  So I am just listening to the audio recording form jw.org.

Ugh.. I do not have anything to write about so maybe I should just stop now... bye

First Post

First post.  Cool.

And yes... I posted this at work.  I have a headache and I want to go home.

Oh and I am hungry.
